The Award Categories

The business must have been trading for a maximum of two years at the time of applying for the awards.  There is no criteria for business size and turnover. 

This business demonstrates the following within the Food and Beverage Industry. Excellence in service, quality, customer expectation, venue presentation, product knowledge and innovative produce or unique proposition.  

Whether this Business is operating from home, a Sole Trader or has a small team, this award will ackowledge the work that these businesses have to offer our Region. 

This is a Business that employs 5 to 10 staff, casual, part time or full time.  This is not a home based business.

This Business category employs 11-20 staff casual, part-time or full-time. 

As a large employer of 20+ staff, this Business is contributing to the economy of the region on a large scale. This Business may be a franchise within the area, and may be a manufacturer, large retailer or service provider to the Avon Valley.

This Business model must demonstrate the significance they have made to the community.  The award recognises the effort that has been made by our local charitable organisations within our region. 

This awards the Avon Valley's best Business Woman for her efforts and her contribution to both business and community.

This Business must be an active contributor toward Business Growth through use of marketing tools and entrepreneurial approaches with local, state or national media. 

This awards recognises tourism operators who provide a unique or exceptional visitor experience. Adding value and vibrancy toward the Avon Valley tourism industry and showcasing our region.

This category is not eligible for the BEST AVON VALLEY BUSINESS OF THE YEAR award.

The most prestigous award of the night is won by one of the finalists from 10 of the above categories. This Business will hold this title until the next awards occurs in Avon Valley.
